Illinois Man Sentenced In Large SD Marijuana Bust

An Illinois man caught with more than 10 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop in South Dakota has been ordered to serve 10 days in jail.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jonathan Zupkus of Donovan, Illinois, was arrested August 26 near Rapid City and later pleaded guilty to possessing more than 10 pounds of the drug, a felony that could have landed him in prison for 15 years.
Zupkus must successfully complete four years of probation to avoid a longer jail term. He also must get chemical dependency treatment and submit to random drug testing.
