IFL Playoffs: Storm Remember The Titans

IFL Playoffs: Storm Remember The Titans

The Sioux Falls Storm open the Indoor Football League playoffs Saturday Night, as they host the Cedar Rapids Titans in the conference championship game.  The Winner will advance to the united bowl the following week with the title on the line.  It’s no secret that this is exactly what the Storm have been working towards all season.

“Oh yeah, we love the taste.  We are ready to get back to it.  There is nothing like having the confetti fall on you in that championship game.  There is nothing like it.  We love that taste and we are hungry for it”, Storm Center Charlie Sanders said.

The Storm will look to the experience and talent of their veteran leaders.  In his fourth season as the Storm's Center, Sanders is ready for another ring.  The three-time defending United Bowl Champion Storm boast an IFL-best eight selections on the all-league teams.  The only thing outmatching this group's talent is their experience.

“You have to have that mindset like I’ve been here and done that.  Treat it like a regular season game.  Don’t go out think about trying to make one play to win the game for the whole team.  Let the game come to you, don’t try to be bigger than the game,” Storm Quarterbacks Coach Terrence Bryant said.

“Cory, Chris, those guys have been there and know what it takes in the playoffs to win a championship,” Sanders said.

Sanders and the rest of the offense will be tested by a rough Cedar Rapids Defense, which comes in ranked second in the league.  Sioux Falls is ready for the challenge and illustrates why revenge will be served just off the banks of the Big Sioux River.

“As long as we play our best game and beat them done we will be fine and come out on top,” Sanders said.

“Our guys feed off the crowd.  The Storm Nation is the best and it’s not even close to any other place that we play that as a crowd brings a presence like ours does,” Storm Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs said.

The Storm Nation will be ready Saturday night at 7:05.
