An engineer reports that the KPLO tower in Reliance is down after its guy-wires snapped under the weight of ice buildup. The tower then crumpled before the top 300 feet tipped over, striking a power pole.
Crews are on scene attempting to repair the power line. However, the time it will take to repair the loss of the KPLO-TV signal has not been determined.
The signal loss only affects people who get their KPLO signal over the air; most customers receiving a cable or satellite signal will continue to receive the signal.
