Interstate 29 between Watertown and the North Dakota border is closed to drivers due to a winter storm across much of South Dakota.
Officials say snow and strong winds are combining to create snow-packed and slippery roads. Those conditions are also creating heavy drifting and near-zero visibility for drivers.
Earlier Sunday, state officials closed I-90 from Wall to Chamberlain and they say more closures are likely throughout Sunday.
Because travel is difficult, officials are asking everyone to stay put and stay off the roads.
