I-229 Reopens Following Crash

SIOUX FALLS, SD - Authorities have reopened a stretch of Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls that was closed earlier this morning because of a traffic accident.
Two cars collided on the northbound lane of I-229 near the Western Avenue exit just before 2 am.
It's believed three people were involved in the accident. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The northbound lane reopened just before 5:30 am, after crews had cleared the area of debris and investigators mapped the accident scene.

Hand County authorities say the 81-year-old Pierre man who had been missing since Sunday morning was found dead.

The Hand County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Leroy Nye, who was last seen at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.

According to the Hand County Sheriff's Office, Leroy Nye and the vehicle Nye drove have been found but no other details have been released.
