A 19-year-old Huron man is facing several charges after allegedly firing multiple shots into a home early Saturday morning.
Tyrell Marvin Tompkins has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and driving under the influence. He also faces charges for having an open container in a motor vehicle, underage drinking, damaging property and obstructing an officer.
The charges stem from a domestic dispute that took place 5 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Wisconsin Avenue Southwest. Police say Tompkins allegedly fired multiple shots from a .22-caliber rifle into the residence before fleeing.
Police later apprehended Tompkins. He is being held at the Regional Correction Center in Huron. It is unclear if Tompkins has an attorney.
