Hundreds Take Part In 20th Annual Mall Walk

A yearly fundraiser for Children's Care celebrates two decades of success today.

Hundreds turned out for the 20th annual Mall Walk at the Empire Mall in Sioux Falls. The event raises money to provide additional resource for children served by the organization. Families, friends and community supporters joined their favorite youngster in the walk through the mall.

“Every year it keeps growing and it really get our families involved and that the children that we serve get to come and participate and have an activity that they get to do with their families out in the community,” President of the Children’s Care Foundation, Jessica Wells said.

Several walkers also came dressed in costume for photo ops with the kids. The event raised over $100,000 last year and looks to exceed that at on its 20th anniversary.
