Cats and dogs at the Sioux Falls Humane Society receive a special delivery.
The Imagination Destination group from Tri-Valley School brought in more than 1,000 pounds of food and some pet supplies. The 4th through 6th graders have been collecting money and supplies since January.
The Humane Society says with so many mouths to feed, this kind of generosity helps them out a lot.
"On average, we go through about a 50-pound bag for cats every day. And about 200 to 250 pounds for the dogs. So it really adds up quick. So we go through food immensely fast. So this really will help us," Laura Tellberg with the Humane Society said.
If you would like to make a donation to the Sioux Falls Humane Society, you can do so online or stop by during business hours.
