The South Dakota Department of Health has suspended the license of a health care center.
The department confirms the Hudson Healthcare Center's license was suspended on Wednesday as a result of "a pattern of repeated deficiencies that threaten the health and safety of residents." In addition, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has moved to terminate the facility's Medicare provider agreement, effective August 23.
More than 25 people live at the center. They are getting help to relocate to other nursing facilities in the area.
