South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard will soon have some competition.
Former Republican State Legislator Lora Hubbel plans to formally announce her candidacy to run on Monday afternoon.
Hubbel ran against State Senator Deb Peters and lost in the 2012 primary. She also served as a State Representative from Sioux Falls in the 2011 and 2012 legislative sessions.
Hubbel is opposed to the Affordable Care Act and the new Common Core education standards.
Hubbel will officially announce her run at noon on Monday at the downtown Sioux Falls Library.
