HS Football Alignments Released By SDHSAA

The South Dakota high school football alignments are ready to be finalized for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 school years. In a press release Tuesday the SDHSAA announced Watertown will drop down to play in 11AA with the new 11AAA class consisting of the Sioux Falls and Rapid City public high schools, O'Gorman, Brandon Valley and Aberdeen Central.

O'Gorman was originally slated to play in 11AA but the school decided to petition up.

Following that move, Brandon Valley had the option to drop down but the school declined and Watertown took the opportunity to go to 11AA. The Watertown school board approved the move Monday night.

All athletic alignments are subject to final approval at the Feb. 27 SDHSAA board of directors meeting.
