The city of Hartford will be home to its first ever hotel early next year.
Construction has begun on an AmericInn near exit 387. Gary Sandholm with Hartford Area Development says the AmericInn should be ready by early next year and he expects it to be a successful.development in the area.
"There are a lot of amenities right around the area. There's also the Fireside Event Center, which opened this spring. It had been a bowling alley and it's been converted to about 8,000 square feet that can be used for exhibitions, weddings, dances, entertainment of any type," Sandholm said.
On top of the Fireside Event Center and a new gas station, apartments are going up and businesses are moving in. KELOLAND's Matt Holsen will have more on the developments later today on KELOLAND News.
