It’s been nearly a month since Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines -- yet millions of people are still trying to recover from the devastation.
To help in the restoration process, Hope for the Holidays event fair takes place in Sioux Falls today. A variety of vendors bring their goods to help in the cause. Proceeds from the event hope to gather some much-needed help to victims affected by the storm.
“After all of this tragedy that happened, after a month we don't want people to forget that there's still a lot of needs, you know the needs is still really massive,” event organizer Cathy Revoir said.
According to national governmental agency, World Vision, four million Filipinos are still homeless...and millions more struggle to find food.
If you would like to help Hope for the Holidays event runs until 7 p.m. tonight.
