Homeless Man Sentenced To 6 Years In Burglary Case
January 17, 2012, 3:39 PM
RAPID CITY, SD -
A 19-year-old homeless man convicted for stealing liquor and a coin collection from a Rapid City home was sentenced Tuesday to six years in prison.
Bryce Foy pleaded guilty earlier to first-degree burglary.
Authorities say he apparently was trying to stay in the home while the homeowners were away. A neighbor held Foy at the home until authorities arrived.
Foy must complete 40 percent of his sentence before he's eligible for parole.
Judge Mary Thorstenson told Foy that drugs and alcohol control his life and told him he has to change.
