A high speed chase ended in Mitchell when the suspect crashed the vehicle Saturday morning.
According to Chief Deputy Steve Harr of the Davison Sheriff’s Department, Trevor Kohlrus was clocked going 58 in a 30 mph zone in a Pontiac Grand Prix. Kohlrus began to accelerate before a Sheriff’s Deputy turned on the police lights.
Kohlrus lost control of the vehicle hitting a snow bank, telephone pole, a parked pickup truck, a parked car, a fence and a tree, flipping the car in the process before coming to a rest.
Kohlrus then attempted to crawl out of the vehicle and run before he was apprehended by Mitchell Police.
Kohlrus is currently in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Charges are pending.
