Herd Verse Hawks Round One
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

The Sioux Falls Stampede will face the Anderson Cup champion Waterloo Black Hawks in the Western Conference Semifinals starting this Friday, April 11th in Waterloo.  The Black Hawks are the number one seed in the West while the Herd are the number four seed. All three rounds of the Clark Cup Playoffs are best-of-five series.

The Black Hawks finished the season with a franchise best record 44-11-5 while the Stampede were 34-19-7. The Herd went 1-3-2 against the Hawks during the regular season with three of the six games being decided by two goals or less.

Games 1 and 2 will be this weekend in Waterloo before the series shifts to Sioux Falls for Game 3 on Thursday, April 17th and, if necessary, Game 4 on Friday, April 18th. Should the series go to a decisive Game 5 that will be played on Tuesday, April 22nd in Waterloo. Tickets for Game 3 are on sale now at the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet.

The winner of the Sioux Falls/Waterloo series will face the winner of the Omaha/Sioux City series in the Western Conference Finals beginning on April 25th.  Over in the East, Indiana is the number one seed and will face the fourth seeded Green Bay Gamblers while Cedar Rapids is the number two seed and will face third seeded Dubuque.

Fans can catch all of the Stampede playoff games on KELO News Talk 1320-AM, 107.9-FM and online at kelo.com. Fans can also hear the games live straight from their smartphone by downloading the free KELO radio app for Android or iPhone.
