Attorneys in the first-degree murder case of Braiden McCahren are headed to court again for arguments over whether the Pierre teen should be tried as an adult or a juvenile.
A hearing is planned for Tuesday afternoon.
The 17-year-old McCahren has pleaded not guilty in the December 2012 shooting death of 16-year-old Dalton Williams. McCahren was 16 at the time of the shooting, which took place in his home.
A circuit court judge ruled that McCahren be tried as an adult, but the South Dakota Supreme Court in September ordered the lower court to reconsider.
The justices ordered Judge John Brown to hold another transfer hearing, but without testimony from a Rapid City psychologist.
