Healthy Living Day Helps Start New Resolutions

Healthy Living Day Helps Start New Resolutions

It’s perfect timing for the Sioux Falls Parks and Rec department as it sponsored Healthy Living Day, less than a week into the new year.

And with new resolutions in mind, many people came out to learn about their health, try new foods and get in some exercise.

Along with classes, many vendors were at the fair to give people tips on healthy living.

Chiropractor Seth Severtson set up a booth, checking people’s posture. He says that’s one aspect of health that’s often overlooked.

"Typically with the new year people are looking to get healthy and for a way to get in shape and your nervous system and spine is part of that. So we want to screen people," Severtson said.

And organizers say this event has grown since its beginning four years ago, seeing trickles of people in the beginning to a study flow participating on Saturday.
