It's the start of what could be an active day for severe weather in KELOLAND. Residents in Dell Rapids and Pipestone were woken up by hail Thursday morning.
LaDonna Harris, of Pipestone, writes that she has never heard hail hit that hard and loud. According to Robin Anderson, of rural Minnehaha County, the storm lasted approximately ten minutes at around 12:48 a.m.
We received several pictures through uShare showcasing the one of the first hailstorms this season. Several areas had stones measuring between quarter-sized and 1-inch in diameter.
