Guitar Hero

November 16, 2007, 10:03 PM by Don Jorgensen

Guitar Hero
He's a real guitar hero.

Not the kind you find on any video game. Greg Hanson of Watertown is a country music recording artist and is donating a special guitar to a special cause.

This is a one of a kind guitar. Not because of it's de---sign, but because who---signed.

"This idea kind of came to me," said Hanson.

Greg Hanson and his country music band brought the guitar with them on the road this year.

"If we are opening for someone we always bring this with us and have it signed or if we go to a concert we talk to the booking agents to help us get back stage to get it signed," said Hanson.

Big star names like Big and Rich, Diamond Rio and Sugarland are just a few who have put their celebrity stamps on the guitar. Hanson says they signed without hesitation.

"Once I'm tell them what I'm doing with the money, they say absolutely."

Hanson is putting the signed guitar on ebay. The money raised will go to the Children's Miracle Network.
Two years ago, CMN was instrumental in helping Hanson and his new born daughter Olivia who had developed breathing problems.

But as you can see today, two years later, Olivia is doing great!
"She's a bundle of energy!"

And that's why Hanson wants to give back to CMN.

"You never know if your brother, sister, or cousin if they are ever going to need the help of CMN, you never know until the time comes and you don't want to go through it either," said Hanson.

The guitar has a total of 10 signatures. You can bid on the signed guitar by clicking here.
