A group called "Citizens for an Outdoor Pool” met this morning to talk about the future of Drake Springs Pool in Sioux Falls. The group wants the pool replacing process to involved more people from the community.
Citizens for an Outdoor Pool Co-Chair, Theresa Stehly says, "We think the citizens have a right to have a voice in this and it is our hope the mayor will be supportive of us and open to what the people of Sioux Falls really want."
Nearly a month ago, the Sioux Falls City Council gave approval for Drake Springs to be replaced by a new indoor pool. The group is planning to gather petitions in favor of an outdoor pool.
We'll hear more from the group and their plans later today on KELOLAND.com and KELOLAND News.
