Groundbreaking Held For Sioux Falls' Newest Elementary Building

Students and school district leaders officially broke ground on Sioux Falls' newest elementary school on Thursday.

The new Susan B. Anthony Elementary is going up right next to Mark Twain, which has been a part of the central Sioux Falls neighborhood for decades.

Students from Mark Twain and Longfellow will attend the new, larger building.

"There will be a lot of work to do.  A lot of planning; a lot of activities to bring together both the students and staff of both buildings.  We are looking forward to becoming a school as one," Principal of Mark Twain and Longfellow Marie Rickert said.

Susan B. Anthony Elementary School will be ready for students in August of 2015.
