Gov. Dennis Daugaard has appointed a Sioux Falls man to the South Dakota House seat representing District 11.
Daugaard on Monday announced the appointment of 59-year-old Mark Willadsen. He will be filling the seat that was vacated by Rep. Christine Erickson. She resigned last month to take on a position on the Sioux Falls City Council.
Willadsen previously served in the state House from 2005 to 2009 and from 2011 to 2013. He is the owner of an insurance agency in Sioux Falls.
District 11 includes areas of western Sioux Falls near Roosevelt High School and rural areas to the west of the city.
