Although the white stuff on the ground prevents many from taking to the green this time of year, golf fans say it’s never to early to start preparing for the season.
Big crowds fill the Sioux Falls Convention Center on Saturday for the fifth annual Great Plains Golf Expo in Sioux Falls.
Some came out to focus on their swing while others shopped around to see what's new in the golfing world. With nearly 50 vendors, event organizers say the expo has a little something to offer for just about everyone.
And it's safe to say the hundreds that came out left with a good dose of spring fever.
"The best thing that maybe happened to us is we had that snow a couple of days ago because it kind of cooped us up and we thought, 'okay, it's cold.' So, they're here and they're swinging clubs. They're trying out all the new clubs here." Wade Merry with the South Dakota golf association said.
Merry says he’s impressed with the big crowds he’s seen so far.
The golf show runs through Sunday. The event will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
