Autumn Schultz's layup with four seconds left in overtime lifted Wall to a 61-59 win over Timber Lake Saturday in the seventh-place game at the South Dakota girls Class B basketball tournament.
Schultz got behind the defense after Timber Lake's Makense Nehl missed two free throws with 11 seconds to play. Schultz caught a long pass and laid the ball. Schultz finished with 17 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles (19-6). Carlee Johnston had 17 points for Wall.
Callie Lawrence's three-pointer as time ran out sent the game to overtime tied 54-54. She finished with eight points.
Kristie Mettler had a pair of three-pointers and 23 points for the Panthers (16-10). Nehl was seven for 12 from the free throw line and finished with 14 points.
