Bethany Crosswait's two free throws with 23 seconds left lifted Spearfish over Clark-Willow Lake 50-48 in the fifth-place game at the South Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament on Saturday.
Crosswait, who was 6-for-8 from the line for the Spartans (19-5), had a pair of three-pointers and went 4-for-12 from the field for 16 points.
Kaitlyn Hinch had 10 points for Spearfish.
Clark-Willow Lake (19-6) missed a bonus and a shot in the closing seconds.
Chynna Stevens led the Cyclones with 16 points on 7-for-18 shooting. She also had team highs in rebounds with 11 and assists with two.
MacKenzie Huber had 14 points and Mikayla Prouty added 10.
