Spearfish rallied from a halftime deficit to beat Chamberlain 52-39 in a consolation game at the South Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament on Friday.
The Spartans (18-5) outscored Chamberlain 29-14 in the second half.
Bethany Crosswait was 4-for-12 from the field and made all five of her free throw attempts to lead Spearfish in scoring with 14 points. Kaitlin Spargur had 12 points.
The Spartans made 16 of 21 free throw attempts.
Chamberlain led 25-23 at the break, but struggled offensively most of the game. The Cubs shot just 31 percent from the field and 53 percent from the line.
Jaymee Knippling led Chamberlain (21-3) with nine points.
