Cera Ledbetter had 18 points and Ellie Brecht added 15 as Sioux Falls Lincoln slipped past Sioux Falls Roosevelt 41-37 in a first-round game at the South Dakota girls Class AA basketball tournament on Thursday.
Ledbetter chipped in 10 rebounds for the Patriots (15-8), who shot 36 percent and outboarded the Rough Riders 37-35. Lincoln had a 24-10 advantage in inside scoring.
Brecht made seven of nine shots from the floor, including a three-pointer.
Lincoln led the low-scoring game 15-12 at halftime.
Tagyn Larson led the Rough Riders in scoring with 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Roosevelt shot just 23 percent from the floor and 20 percent from three-point range.
