Morgan Beaner's 21-point, 11-rebound effort carried Harrisburg to a 60-52 win over Sioux Falls Christian Thursday at the South Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament.
The Tigers (23-1) led most of the way in their first state tournament game, but Sioux Falls Christian (16-8) has a couple chances to tie the game late.
Trailing 58-52, the Charges turned the ball over once and had a three-point shot blocked.
Morgan Krier added 13 points for Harrisburg.
The Chargers' Hayley McCarron finished with a game-high 25 points and 13 rebounds. McCarron was 7-for-7 from the line. She had 16 points at half.
Brooke VanGorp added 10 points for Sioux Falls Christian.
