Mollee Karst led Aberdeen Roncalli in scoring and rebounding while guiding the Cavaliers to a 48-34 win over West Central in the third-place game at the South Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament on Saturday.
Karst had 16 points and eight rebounds for Roncalli (20-4). The Cavaliers shot 37 percent from the field while holding West Central (19-7) to just 18 percent shooting. Roncalli took a 30-11 lead into halftime.
Roncalli's Morgan Gunderson chipped in 11 points and Tage Hanson added 10.
The Blackhawks were led by McKenzie Stone, who had eight points on 3-for-7 shooting. She had both of West Central's three-pointers.
