Aberdeen Central rode a Samantha Knecht double-double to a 61-41 win over Sturgis at the South Dakota girls Class AA basketball tournament on Thursday.
Knecht scored 15 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for the top-seeded Golden Eagles (21-1). She was 5-for-16 from the field and made five of nine free throws.
Brianna Kusler was the only other Aberdeen Central player in double figures with 10 points.
The Eagles had a 15-0 advantage in second-chance scoring. They put the game away with a 17-9 scoring edge in the third quarter.
Lynsey Prosser made three of seven three-pointers and finished with 21 points. She was 8-for-18 overall from the floor.
