Gas Prices Up In South Dakota

Gas Prices Up In South Dakota

Prices at the pump are up, not only for South Dakotans, but nearly everyone in the nation. That's according to the latest AAA gas report.

Right now, the average price for a regular gallon of gas in the state $3.43, up about 30 cents from last month. AAA South Dakota spokeswoman Marilyn Buskohl says this increase in price is normal, due to seasonal refinery maintenance and companies switching to their summer-blend gasolines.

Although we are up in price, it could be worse. Some areas across the United States are seeing average prices of $3.49 per gallon, which is a six-month high.
