Funeral Service For Janklow Set For Wednesday
PIERRE, SD - Former South Dakota Gov. Bill Janklow's body will lie in state at the Capitol Rotunda in Pierre on Tuesday before being transferred to Sioux Falls for a funeral service the next day.

Janklow, who served four terms leading the state but resigned as South Dakota's congressman after causing a fatal traffic accident, died Thursday at the age of 72.

The body will lie in state at the Capitol Rotunda in Pierre from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday. A prayer service is to follow at 12:30 p.m.

Janklow's son Russ tells The Associated Press that his father's funeral has been set for Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.

A reception and burial will follow but exact details are not yet known.
