Fund Set Up In Memory Of Eagle Tail

A special honoring was held in memory of Lyle Eagle Tail at the 41st Annual USD Wacipi in Vermillion.

The Tiospaye Student Council has set up a Benefit Memorial Fund for the family.

Wells Fargo has an account for donations under the name Lyle Eagle Tail Benefit Memorial Fund.

Eagle Tail jumped into the Big Sioux River at Falls Park along with Madison Wallace in an attempt to rescue six-year-old Garrett Wallace after he fell into the water.

Garrett Wallace emerged from the water and is fine.

Madison Wallace's body was recovered Friday, March 15 around 2 p.m.

Eagle Tail's body was recovered Saturday, just before 2 p.m.
