Freezing rain overnight has made streets and sidewalks seem more like an ice-skating rink. This freezing rain started in the west and moved along Interstate 90 to the east.
Street crews have sanders out now working to clean the roads.
Law enforcement officers were called to several crashes overnight in the city of Sioux Falls and out of town on interstates and highways.
The Sioux Falls Regional Airport is also closed Thursday morning. According to its Facebook page, it's closed due to icy runways. Crews are working on sanding and de-icing the runway.

If you do have to head outside on Thursday, remember to leave extra space between you and the car in front of you. And leave extra early to get to your destination. It will be a slow moving commute.
