The Museum of the South Dakota State Historical Society is offering free admission on Saturday.
The museum is located at the Cultural Heritage Center in Pierre. The free admission runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Refreshments will be available and visitors will be able to take part in several hands-on activities.
Staff presentations and videos from the Smithsonian Institution will also be on display during the day.
Museum director Jay Smith says he hopes people will visit in order to learn about South Dakota's heritage and history.
