Organizers of central South Dakota's first predator-calling contest say they expect 25 to 50 teams to take part.
The Capital Journal reports the competition will be held the weekend of Feb. 22 out of Fort Pierre.
Jim River Guide Service and the Fort Pierre Motel are putting on the event as a way to draw attention to the 200-plus square miles of free public hunting in the area.
The entry fee is $100 per team before Feb. 1 and $120 after.
Prize money would be between $2,500 and $5,000 and a new Ruger .223 rifle.
