Two-time state senator and South Dakota Supreme Court justice Frank Henderson has died. He was 84.
According to the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, Henderson died Friday at the Sheridan, Wyo., Veterans Affairs Medical Center Home.
John Henderson, one the justice's eight children with wife Norma, says his father was a man of conviction.
Frank Henderson fought in the Korean War, an experience that gave him post-traumatic stress disorder for decades. He suffered Alzheimer's disease in his final days.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. New Year's Day at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hill City, followed by a Christian wake service and rosary at 5 p.m.
A burial mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
