Former SD Library Director Sentenced For Stealing

BRITTON, SD -
The former director of the Britton Public Library has been sentenced to 30 days in jail for embezzling.
Pamela Bull of Lake City also was ordered to pay $4,500 in restitution and spend two years on probation. She was granted a suspended imposition of sentence, meaning her record will be cleared if she successfully completes the sentence.
Marshall County State's Attorney Timothy Purintun says Bull used a city credit card to pay personal bills. He says Bull charged more than $21,000 but has paid some of the bills.
The city council and library board voted to fire Bull last year after they found discrepancies with city bills.
