Food Drive Helps Pantry Fill Shelves

Items on the shelves of local food pantries are in high demand in the summer, which is why local insurance companies are coming together to help the Sioux Falls Food Pantry and Feeding South Dakota.

Progressive Insurance is collecting non-perishable food items at several locations and hope to turn the effort into an annual event.  This year, the donations are being collected at three locations beginning with Kouri Insurance Tuesday on South Minnesota from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Tuesday, May 1, 2012 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
Kouri Insurance
6809 S. Minnesota Ave.

Wednesday, May 2, 2012 10:30 am - 2:00 pm
Boen & Associates Inc.
307 West 41st Street

Thursday, May 3, 2012 10:30 am - 2:00 pm

Some of the items the Sioux Falls Food Pantry needs to help meet the demand in the community are listed below.  They've asked that you avoid donating items in glass.
