Fire Extinguished At West Sioux Falls Strip Mall
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

At approximately 1:45 a.m. Monday morning, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 5312 W. 26th St.

Crews found smoldering embers behind the American Family Insurance sign. Managers from an adjoining restaurant, along with the building manager, discovered the fire on the east side of the building.

Firefighters cut the soffit and roof open and extinguished the fire. Fire did not spread to the main structure, but crews remained on scene to remove smoke from the soffit and attic space.

No injuries were reported. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to the scene with 4 fire trucks, two support vehicles, and 18 firefighters.
