BRANDON, SD -
Members of Brandon-Area Fire crews put their skills to the roof this weekend to help a woman battling breast cancer.
Neighbors rose over $800 to pay for the shingles. And the team of EMTs pitched in with the rest.
“It’s just heart wrenching to know we have the best in the world in the Race Rescue Team and those very people who are up on this roof helping their neighbors,” Project Organizer Jay Masur said.
The team started on the roof Friday and plan to be done this evening. Organizers hope to continue community projects in future years.
