Fill A Bus Event At Walmart Collects Supplies For Project SOS

Fill A Bus Event At Walmart Collects Supplies For Project SOS
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

We are less than two weeks away from the first day of school in Sioux Falls. As students get together their school supplies, Project SOS is in need of donations.

People can come to the Eastside Walmart Friday from noon to 5 p.m. to help fill a bus with school supplies. All of the supplies will be given to students in need through The Banquet's Project SOS. The project provides school supplies for low-income families, but they are in desperate need of certain supplies. They need two-pocket folders, one subject spiral notebooks, seven-inch pointed scissors, and large middle school and high school backpacks. Project SOS is looking to give out 6,800 brand new backpacks.

The bus will be back in the Walmart parking lot at 5521 Arrowhead Parkway from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

We will take a look at the need coming up tonight on KELOLAND News.
