Authorities say a sport utility vehicle burst into flames and was destroyed after striking a deer on Interstate 90 near Mitchell.
According to authorities, the driver of the vehicle suffered a slight burn from a deployed air bag
Mitchell Fire Division Capt. Steve Nedved says the crash was reported just after midnight on Wednesday. He says it appears the fuel line was ruptured in the collision and the rented vehicle had a full tank of gas.
Authorities say the crash was one of nine in the Mitchell area on Wednesday and Thursday.
