Fiegen To Remain On PUC

Fiegen To Remain On PUC
Kristie Fiegen

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Republicans are celebrating after winning a number of state elections, including Kristie Fiegen's run for the Public Utilities Commission.

"It's amazing when people step up and help you all across South Dakota.  It's a lot different than a legislative race.  Statewide, you need a lot of help," Fiegen said.

When asked if she ever had any doubt about the outcome Fiegen said, "We didn't even know if we were ahead or behind in the polls.  We just kept on working like we were behind to make sure that maybe we could stay on top."

The PUC race against Democrat Matt McGovern did get heated.  Fiegen says that she used her strong faith in God to handle the pressure throughout election season.
