FEMA has authorized the use of federal funds to help cover firefighting costs of the Myrtle Fire that's now burned more than 10,000 acres in the Black Hills.
The authorization means FEMA will pay up to 75-percent of the state's firefighting expenses.
The money does not cover individual home or business owners, or infrastructure damage caused by the fire.
