Fargo Hosting Two-Day Sunflower Research Forum
FARGO, ND -

Sunflowers growers are gathering in Fargo to get the latest information as they prepare for the spring planting season.

The North Dakota-based National Sunflower Association is holding its annual Research Forum on Wednesday and Thursday at the Ramada Plaza Suites and Convention Center.

Researchers from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, North Dakota State University, South Dakota State, Kansas State, Colorado State and Iowa State will present their findings on sunflower studies they've conducted.

Topics will include dealing with diseases and insects, protecting sunflowers from blackbirds and preventing combine fires during harvest.
