People looking for a different Halloween costume didn't have to go to a store to get one today.
The Siouxland Library held a costume swap in Sioux Falls. This event allowed people to swap gently wore costumes for a different one. The event ran from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. this morning, with people that donated a costume able to get first crack at the outfits.
The event allows people that would normally have their costumes gather dust to turn into a whole new Halloween look.
“Most people only wear their costumes once and you grow and you need a new costume so it's a good idea to swap out with others in the neighborhood and it's just a great opportunity to share with others,” Library Assistant Alice Reker said.
The Library was also accepted donations from people that weren't interested in getting a new costume.
