SIOUX FALLS, SD -
The team working on the proposed Sioux Falls Events Center says it will have more of everything compared to the Arena.
The team released new renderings Wednesday of the plan that includes about 20 box suites, a large multi-level glass lobby and three separate concourse levels to funnel spectators. Each level will have more restrooms and concession areas per person than the current arena site.
“Some of these even newer buildings are very confusing to get around. And you really want to make it clear of how to circulate the building so people are very comfortable,” Don Dethlefs of Dethlefs Architecture said.
Architects also say they will use design elements like quartzite to make the facility unique to this area. That is if voters approve the $115 million project during the November 8th special election.
