Events Center Debate Ends Tuesday

November 8, 2011, 7:10 AM by Austin Hoffman

Events Center Debate Ends Tuesday
SIOUX FALLS, SD - The events center debate in Sioux Falls comes to an end Tuesday as voters head to the polls to decide whether the city will build a $115 million facility.

The proposal would not create new taxes, but rather use money from an existing city sales tax to fund the project.

Voters who registered in time and live in the Sioux Falls city limits, whether that's in Minnehaha or Lincoln County, are eligible to cast their ballot.

The 57 polling locations are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and absentee voting will continue until 3 p.m. You can find your polling location by visiting the Secretary of State's website.

KELOLAND News and KELOLAND.com will have team reports on the election, with a news crew stationed at the auditor's office to bring you results as the cotes are counted.

Then on KELOLAND News at Ten, we'll bring you reaction to the results from people on both sides of the issue.

You can find our complete coverage of the issue in our special Events Center Section of KELOLAND.com.
